The Makita 18V X2 (36V) LXT Brushless 6-1/2” plunge Circular saw kit (XPS01PTJ) is designed to deliver precise and accurate cutting, particularly when used with an optional guide rail system (sold separately). When used together, the saw and rail system minimize tear-out and produce precise cuts. The saw is equipped with a powerful Makita-built Brushless motor powered by two 18V LXT batteries and features automatic speed change technology, which adjusts cutting speed and torque during the cut for optimal performance. Additionally, it has a variable speed control dial (2, 500 – 6, 300 RPM), soft start, and an electric brake for added convenience. The saw has a large 2-3/16” cutting capacity at 90 degrees, with a bevel capability of -1° to 48° and positive stops at 22.5° and 45°. When used with a rail system (sold separately), the plunge Circular saw offers a more portable alternative to a table saw for certain applications and is suitable for use on the job site or in a workshop.

The kit includes two 18V LXT 5.0Ah batteries, each of which reaches a full charge in just 45 minutes using the efficient Rapid Optimum Charger—making it the fastest charge-time in its category—for less downtime and increased productivity. The batteries also feature an integrated L.E.D. Battery charge level indicator for added convenience. As part of Makita’s expanding 18V Lithium-Ion system, the saw is compatible with the world’s largest cordless tool system powered by 18V Lithium-Ion slide-style batteries.
